Developed to optimize the work processes and operational capabilities of the machines of the three brands that belong to the Cnh Group, the “FieldOps” platform is an “all-in-one” system within Cnh digital systems, also open to data collected from third-party solutions.
In synergy with the “IntelliCentre” platform it also helps to minimize machine downtime

According to the study “World Agriculture Towards 2030/2050” by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the global primary sector will need to be able to produce 60 percent of today’s agri-food resources by 2050. This is due to the steady increase in the world population, expected to exceed nine billion within the next twenty years, and rising living standards in developing countries. To respond to these developments, it is therefore imperative to increase productivity by focusing on increasing yields per hectare. This goal can be achieved by combining increasingly high-performance agricultural machinery with information systems capable of maximizing and optimizing production cycles.
These same systems also help to reduce the 80 percent of expenses a farm incurs in so-called variable costs, such as fuel, seed products, and fertilizers. Having machines operate under the constant, real-time supervision of advanced technological systems optimizes not only production efficiency but also business profitability, simultaneously fostering increasingly environmentally sustainable agriculture. This threefold objective has long been pursued by the CNH Group through the development of hardware and software solutions that offer its customers comprehensive connectivity that supports them both during their operations and in the ordinary and extraordinary management of their vehicles.

With this in mind, the “FieldOps” and “IntelliCentre” platforms were created, dedicated to customers and dealers respectively. They offer a telemetry solution for optimizing work processes and machine operational capabilities, along with a real-time remote diagnostic service for vehicle status. “IntelliCentre” allows CNH dealers, with customer authorization, to access vehicle data for remote monitoring and timely reporting of any operational anomalies. It also allows them to perform diagnostic assessments to ensure rapid and targeted assistance, effectively reducing machine downtime. This gives CNH customers the confidence that their vehicles will always operate at peak efficiency, a key prerequisite for optimizing production cycles and streamlining operating costs.
The aforementioned “FieldOps” platform, made available by the Group for its brands under the names “New Holland FieldOps,” “Case IH FieldOps,” and “Steyr FieldOps,” also addresses this latter objective. It integrates both worksite control and business management software into a single interface. It is therefore designed as an “all-in-one” system designed to consolidate key operational management needs into a single digital environment, thanks primarily to its open platform, accessible via mobile devices and computers, and thus eliminating the need for farmers to use multiple applications to manage their mixed fleet.

On the contrary, it allows them to view and monitor their entire fleet in a single, easy-to-use and secure environment. To achieve this goal, CNH has invested heavily in digital interoperability to protect its customers from the proliferation of platforms that don’t always communicate with each other, or if they do, in a less than optimized manner. This commitment has, in practice, made “FieldOps” an ecosystem capable of receiving, exchanging, managing, and processing data in various formats, including from third parties.

By monitoring all key field machine parameters in real time, such as engine status, fluid temperatures, operating speeds, fuel consumption, hectares worked, and trajectories followed, the platform allows for constant monitoring of each individual machine’s performance and the achievable profit margins based on the work cycle performed. This ensures users always have a clear picture of the production standards maintained by their machines throughout each process through an intuitive and easy-to-use interface that is also designed to receive and manage data from the farm’s precision farming systems.
