The long history of Mazzotti of Ravenna, a historic excellence of Italian agricultural machinery with over 70 years of activity behind it, has inexorably reached its end
The American multinational John Deere, which acquired the Via Dismano company in 2017, confirmed its irreversible intention to liquidate the company and initiate collective dismissal procedures for all 34 employees.
In recent years, John Deere had already progressively integrated Mazzotti’s historic lines of self-propelled row-crop sprayers (such as the IBIS and MAF models) into its own standardized digital and production ecosystem.
Once it had absorbed the technological know-how, the multinational opted to eliminate parallel brands—a move similar to that recently undertaken in Brazil with the PLA brand—centralizing production and effectively decreeing the death of the Mazzotti brand.
