Structured around a total of eight models, Steyr Absolut Cvt and the Impuls Cvt are built upon two distinct engineering platforms, each tailored to specific operational needs. What unites them, however, is a shared emphasis on cutting-edge technology designed to streamline and enhance productivity cycles

As a premium brand, Steyr has long been synonymous with engineering precision and design sophistication, consistently pursuing innovation to raise the performance standards of its machines. This brand philosophy is clearly reflected in the development of a product line that merges high manufacturing quality with advanced digital features, forming the foundation of the Impuls CVT and Steyr Absolut Cvt series. Although based on different platforms to suit diverse operating profiles, both series are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies aimed at simplifying operations and maximizing efficiency.
All eight models in the Impuls and Steyr Absolut Cvt ranges offer remote monitoring and control capabilities via Steyr’s S-Fleet bi-directional telematics system. This technology transmits operational and performance data, gathered through dedicated sensors, to the Steyr FieldOps web portal. The portal can be accessed both by the farm’s IT systems and, with the owner’s consent, by the dealership, enabling fast diagnostics and proactive support in case of malfunctions or alerts.

The design philosophy focuses on optimal performance across two clearly defined use profiles:
- The three Impuls Cvt models—6150 Cvt, 6165 Cvt, and 6175 Cvt—are designed for haymaking and light tillage operations, thanks to their compact wheelbase of 2,789 mm and a curb weight of just 6,480 kg. These dimensions ensure high agility and versatility in the field.
- The five Absolut Cvt models—6200 Cvt, 6220 Cvt, 6240 Cvt, 6260 Cvt, and 6280 Cvt—are engineered for more intensive tasks, including heavy-duty fieldwork and high-speed road transport. With a longer wheelbase of 2,884 mm and a total weight of 9,550 kg, these machines are optimized for demanding large-scale operations and professional contractors.
Despite their different focuses, both series feature Steyr’s S-Control Cvt continuously variable transmission. These combines a variable-displacement hydraulic motor with a two- or four-stage dual-clutch mechanical gearbox. This setup enables seamless automatic gear shifting across two or four speed ranges, ensuring optimal fuel efficiency under varying loads and conditions.

Powering both series are Fpt Industrial 6-cylinder engines (6.7 liters), delivering peak outputs of:
- 165 to 220 hp for the Impuls Cvt models
- 200 to 281 hp for the Absolut Cvt models

Each engine benefits from Power Management, which can boost output by up to 25%. These engines are electronically managed via high-pressure common rail injection systems and equipped with turbo-intercooler technology with four valves per cylinder. They meet Stage V emissions standards using FPT’s exclusive Hi-eSCR2 technology, which relies on a DOC catalyst and SCR after-treatment (urea injection) system—eliminating the need for EGR valves and diesel particulate filters that could otherwise hinder engine efficiency.

To support productivity and implement handling, both series feature variable-displacement hydraulic systems with pressure and flow compensation:
- 140 L/min flow rate for the Impuls Cvt
- 150 L/min for the Absolut CVT

These systems power up to five auxiliary valves, a four-speed PTO (540 and 1000 RPM, in both standard and ECO modes), and robust rear lift capacities—8,257 kg for the Impuls Cvt and 10,464 kg for the Absolut Cvt.
