A case in point is the “X6.4 P6-Drive” series, which—as its name suggests—pairs compatibility with all McCormick digital solutions with the “P6-Drive” transmission. This original Argo Tractors design is built around a six-stage powershift combined with four robotized ranges, providing 24 forward and 24 reverse gears, optionally expandable to 40+40 via a creeper unit operating on the two lower ranges.

Reverse engagement is managed by an electro-hydraulic shuttle called “Reverse Power Shuttle”, whose responsiveness can be modulated to make gear changes more or less aggressive depending on the task. The “Speed Matching” system automatically adapts the engaged gear to the forward speed.
