The Westlake Tyre from Hangzhou to Uboldo

Known worldwide for its range of axles, suspensions, and braking systems for agricultural trailers, Adr Group has recently expanded its range of tires for both off-road and on-road transport.

The Westlake Tyre brand is particularly suited to these applications

Known in Europe primarily for heavy-duty road transport and construction, Westlake Tyre tires are slowly making inroads into the automotive sector, a field that can only be successfully approached by manufacturers who invest significantly in innovation and research each year.

Although still little-known in Italy, the Chinese brand is among them, thanks to the fact that it is owned by a Chinese industrial group, Zhongce Rubber, currently ranked among the top ten tire manufacturers in the world and firmly committed to entering the top five by 2030. The foundations for achieving this goal are all there, starting with production facilities located not only in China but also in Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, and Brazil, and thousands of points of sale in all the most industrialized countries.

Italy is also among these, thanks to the recent decision by Adr Group to distribute Westlake Tire tires for agricultural trailers, particularly those with high load capacities and primarily used on-road for field-to-farm transportation. By doing so, Adr Group has expanded its offering, adding complete wheels equipped with robust tires to its traditional undercarriage assemblies, axles, suspensions, and braking systems.

These wheels are manufactured using “Industry 4.0” production systems, latest-generation machinery, and proven-quality raw materials. All products also comply with the most stringent international standards, from DOT to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949, guaranteeing reliability and safety. They are also built with a low-impact production approach, using renewable energy and extensively using recycled materials. Available in sizes ranging from 15 to 22.5 inches, the tires boast radial construction and, for agricultural applications, are geared toward feeder trailers and low-profile and standard semi-trailers.

Million-Dollar Investments

In 2024, the Zhongce Rubber Group reported revenues of more than $5.2 billion, part of which, as is the case every year, was invested in state-of-the-art production and testing facilities, purchased or developed in the United States, Germany, and Japan. These facilities include China’s first acoustic testing laboratory, an integrated dynamic stress measurement system, X-ray inspection facilities, and advanced balancing and uniformity testing equipment.

The Group produces all types of tires, for trucks and buses, passenger cars, industrial vehicles, off-road vehicles, agricultural vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, and ATVs. These tires are marketed under the Westlake Tire brand, as well as under the Goodride, Chaoyang, Arisun, and Trazano brands.
