New Bkt tires for trucks, buses, motorcycles and cars

It thundered so much that it finally rained. For years, there had been speculation about the Bkt Group entering the light vehicle tire sector, and now those hypotheses have become reality.

The company has officially announced the launch of new products for trucks, buses, motorcycles, and cars, with the first models already available on the Indian market or about to be introduced

Bkt continues to grow. After establishing a global leadership position in the sectors of agricultural, construction, industrial, mining, and port tires—without forgetting commercial vehicles, ATVs, and professional gardening—the Indian company has now announced its entry into the commercial and light vehicle segments, including trucks, buses, motorcycles, and cars, thus transitioning from a specialized manufacturer to a generalist.

This development process has led the Group to reorganize its structure into two distinct divisions. One, BKT Tires, is dedicated to the design, production, and distribution of finished products—namely tires—while the other, BKT Carbon, focuses on the business of carbon black and industrial materials.

It should be noted that the decision to directly challenge the major brands operating in the consumer segment is part of a broader development plan that BKT aims to complete by 2030. In the meantime, two products have inaugurated this new era for the company: two motorcycle tires named “Zenova” and “Thyros”, designed respectively for on-road and on/off-road use.

Manufactured in India, these tires have been developed through IATF 16949-certified processes, which include design validation, accelerated durability testing, and vehicle tests—also conducted by external laboratories—to certify braking performance on both dry and wet surfaces, as well as handling and grip.

New era for Bkt

The new tires will initially be available on the Indian market, which alone absorbed over 20 million vehicles in 2025. However, as already happens with industrial and agricultural tires, distribution will subsequently expand globally.

Alongside the launch of “Zenova” and “Thyros”, Bkt has also announced its expansion into the on-road commercial vehicle segment with the introduction of the “m.Loadxpert” and “Milexpert Rg” radial tire series, scheduled for launch by next June. Developed for heavy-duty applications such as cement transport, construction logistics, and regional freight transport, these tires are designed for driving stability, resistance to heavy stress and wear, and retreadability.

They mark the beginning of a BKT portfolio dedicated to trucks and buses, validated through 138 quality checks during production, more than 20 design verification tests, and trials carried out in internationally accredited laboratories.
